Dorothy Lewis founded and until recently ran a very successful local Pipedown group for southern Scotland based in Edinburgh. It was called Quiet Scotland to ensure that no one in Scotland mistook it for a campaign against pipe  music aka the bagpipes! At present the campaign is in abeyance but may be restarted.
