Tesco: possible good news

Christmas shopping is too often marred by Christmas piped music, as normally quiet supermarkets succumb to seasonal muzac-madness. Jingle Bells is replayed up 300 times, driving shoppers and staff alike half-mad. So it is good news that Tesco, which already makes Wednesday mornings muzak-free in Scotland, has said that it is thinking of extending these oases of silence across the whole UK ,and making them permanent. Write to its CEO Mr Ken Murphy at ken.murphy@uk.tesco.com urging him to implement this policy and and extend it, pointing out you are likely to spend far more in an acoustically unpolluted environment.
