As the election approaches, politicians listen unusually closely to their constituents. This gives us all the chance to raise the problems of noise – and specifically of piped music – so that MPs are made aware of it, perhaps for the first time. Although Brexit inevitably dominates the headlines, air pollution from diesels is an increasing source of urgent concern, very rightly. But noise pollution remains often ignored, very wrongly. Now is our chance to pipe up about piped music!
Write or email your candidates (of all parties) and tell doorstepping canvassers your feelings about piped music.
